Amos Group was originally founded over 30 years ago as a construction company. Over time the company has expanded to include commercial units, the development of bespoke housing, holiday let company and Rare Breed Farming business.

Amos group is a family run business that prides itself on the passion and quality our experienced team offers. Many of our team has been with us since we began, offering knowledge and experience to the highest standard as they provide us with an exceptional platform to carry out the developments we create. We are also always looking to the next generation of passionate and hands on individuals to join our team and echo our vision of excellence.

As a niche property builder, we frequently undertake unique projects and are often highly recommended for works in sensitive locations. We are competent in dealing with complex developments in conservation areas, conversion of listed, historical buildings, commercial premises and holiday accommodation. Many of our ventures are longstanding development sites awaiting a timely and relevant fruition.

Amos Group has established itself as one of the leading creators for residential properties, conducting a wide range of projects across Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire and has recently expanded to develop within a number of picturesque locations in Anglesey.

Amos Group have invested heavily in bespoke joinery, and recently created Derwent Valley Joinery Ltd.

The result is a team of highly skilled craftsmen providing over 300 years of knowledge and experience under one roof, dedicated to Amos Group.

Combining traditional joinery skills, modern technology and innovation, the made to order production line is developing and re-developing a wide range of products beginning with interior panelling, storm proof single glazed windows, patio double doors and more, using top quality and unique materials such as:

Accoya (high performance wood selected for impeccable quality in all environments, rot proof, highly durable and stable)

Tulipwood (beautiful fine smooth finishes)

Sapele (good durability, strength, and density, and can be used both internally and externally)

The ethos of Derwent Valley Joinery is to use traditional values and care to produce high end future proof products, in an ecological and sustainable manner, and to recycle materials where possible to minimise waste.

Best Stock Bull

“The De Beauvoir Cup for Best Stock Bull was, rather appropriately, awarded to the 2017-born De Beauvoir Pullman Jim, bred by Angela Dunn and the late David Evans, and owned by the Amos family in Derbyshire. Sold as a two-year-old to Amos Farms Ltd, this bull has gone on to sire over 50 pedigree progeny for the Rathbourne herd, with judge Brian Palmer praising the bull for having to beat a number of other strong contenders to be crowned the winner in this year’s competition. “
